THAF- Tetrahedral hydrophone array frame

This frame will hold your hydrophones to form a TrueTetrahedral array for localization studies. Hollow (flooded) arms are made of ultra-strong polycarbonate; apex brackets are printed from durable ABS plastic; and set screws are made from 316 stainless steel. Made for HTI hydrophones (High Tech, Inc) with a 1/2" support collar and 3/16" cable (including HTI-96-min, HTI-92-WB, and HTI-99-HF in their SSQ models). Apex brackets and arms are nearly acoustically transparent underwater. Hydrophones can be mounted either interior to the frame (for greater protection) or exterior to the frame (for a longer baseline and wider free-field reception).  Baseline distances between hydrophones for the smaller version (with 24" arms) are ~50 cm (interior mount) or ~75 cm (exterior mount). Baseline distances between hydrophones for the larger version (with 48" arms) are ~111 cm (interior mount) or ~136 cm (exterior mount). Exact distances depend on your hydrophone. Custom mounts are available for other hydrophones (contact me). Comes unassembled with 4 apex brackets, 4 hydrophone holders, 6 arms, and all needed set screws. Hydrophones not included. Allow 4-6 weeks for delivery of items that are not in stock.
